Growing Up

I know what it feels like to grow up. One day you’re a care free kid and you blink your eyes and you’re all grown up. Sometimes as a kid you can’t wait to grow up and you even dream about when you’re an adult. But when it actually happens, it can kinda stink. Growing up isn’t as fun as you once thought it would be. You have to now be an adult. You have to be responsible and face many trails in this life. But the most important thing for our generation, is that as we grow up inside this world, we grow up in Jesus Christ our Lord. So many teenagers and young adults turn from the Lord. They graduate, leave their family, and go off to college. And somehow they think they don’t need God anymore. Or maybe they want to “fit in” and God doesn’t “fit in” where they want him to. In this world and in this day and time, it’s so easy to get sidetracked and forget about God. But the truth is we need God. Our generation needs God more than ever and it’s our job to tell about Jesus to those that will listen. You can’t just shove Jesus in everyone’s face. Sometimes you have to wait until they’re ready to listen. I am writing this devotionals for teenagers and young adults that need to know more about who God says they are and who Jesus truly is.
