God’s Timing Is Never Late

Sometimes it can feel like we are always waiting on something in life. Waiting for a job, waiting for healing, waiting for love and waiting for dreams to come true. The truth is, life doesn’t always line up the way we want it to but there is always a silver lining and that silver lining is God’s timing. I know what it feels like to wait. I waited years for healing but it turns out God was healing me as I walked my journey. Now my mind is at peace and I am able to rest and feel the healing take place. For anyone around my age in your early twenties, you’re at that stage in life where you’re in school, have a job or waiting to see what’s next for you. A lot of times when you reach twenty, you start to want to be in love. And that is what today’s devotional is about. I recently wrote a song that I believe God truly gave me. The lyrics talked about how God wants me to fall in love with Him first, before I fall in love with any guy. I know for us girls often we just want to fall in love and feel loved. But God wants us to know His love first, which is greater than any other love. I believe guys feel the same. They also just want to be in love. But I’ll be honest, love takes waiting. It takes waiting on the right person, the other half of you. But we have to learn to put nothing before God. God comes first in our life. God wants us to love Him first before anyone else because He is the one that loves us first. When wanting to find love in this life we have to understand and always remember that God will forever be our first love. Everyone searches the world desperately for the right person and so often people settle for relationships that were never meant to be. Wait on God. His timing is never late.
