A Three-Peat
My dad and I are the two biggest Georgia fans in our house and just the other day I was talking about how I had read on DawgNation where Kirby Smart was ranked the second best college football coach, with Nick Saban at the top. My dad joked and said “Well, when we win a three-peat that will change.” It’s nice to hear my dad being so confident. But it can be a little scary when all the Georgia fans act like these dawgs can’t lose. When they can indeed lose. It doesn’t happen often but we can lose. Kirby Smart is practically running a whole new team. A young team. Do I think its impossible for us to win a third Natty? No. I don’t believe it’s impossible. I believe it is very possible we make history with that three-peat. But I know the past two years, many believed we couldn’t win a Natty. And now that we’ve won two, everyone seems to forget how hard it was to win two and how much harder its gonna be to win a third. We’ve got most off the SEC teams out for us. But I do believe we can do it. I just believe it’s important that as a team we don’t get ahead of ourselves.
There is so much work that goes into building such a team that us fans don’t know about. It seems pretty easy to cheer from the stands or in front of the tv. But were not the ones on the field trying to kick butt. I am very excited to see how our new team works together. The two key positions I am looking forward to seeing is our new starting Quarterback and Placekicker. We lost both of those scoring machines to the NFL and those players are a huge part of the team. How else would we score?
I know our team is gonna do great and I just know if its God’s will and way, Georgia is gonna have another unforgettable season and win a back-to-back-to-back Natty. After the 2022 season was over, many were already talking about a three-peat. But I just wanted to celebrate our past two seasons and those huge wins. Before I could finish celebrating our 2021 Natty, I blinked and we were winning our second. And then I was celebrating both when everyone started talking about a third Natty. Then I wasn’t ready. I felt like we should honer this team and what they've done. It was there moment and everyones chance to celebrate. And I knew that when the 2023 season came upon us, there’d be many players we would miss. But now I am ready to look forward to the 2023 season and what kind of season we’ve got ahead of us and the team that’s gonna be fighting to make history.
