When I First Found An Interest In Georgia Football

I remember when I was young, I had a red Georgia hoodie (one I still have and wear to this day) but I honestly don’t remember when I got the hoodie. So I obviously knew of the Bulldogs and maybe had seen a few minutes of a game or two growing up. But it was nothing like it is now. I know my dad went to the home games as a kid and grew up watching the bulldogs and I have big Georgia fans in my family but no one ever introduced me to the sport (other than my dad may have asked me to watch a game when I was a kid, but I don’t remember). But when I first became a true fan? well its hard to remember exactly. But I do believe I remember hearing my dad talking to my older sister about Georgia getting a new Quarterback and they were probably looking on the computer or tv. Later I learn that new QB would be Jake Fromm #11. I believe it was that 2017-2018 season when I first sat down for a game. Maybe I would sit and watch and then go get a snack and later come back. All I Know is it came to a point where id already have my snacks and I would rarely leave the couch when Georgia Football is on. Now it’s no different. I’m probably like most other fans, except for one thing. I make it my job to believe in my teams and support them, win or lose. It’s my job to believe in the players that no one believes in and give them the chance they all deserve. (And yes. I was one that did my very best to believe in Stetson Bennett Iv). I hated how people treated Him and honestly I liked him as the QB when he and JT Daniels were both fighting for the starting possession. But honestly his story was inspiring and I just could see God using him and his story. I agreed with the decision of Stetson Bennett being Georgia’s QB and I think that’s what makes me different from many fans. So in many ways I’m also nothing like other fans. No one pushed me to be a fan and now that I am one, everyone wonders why? Even my dad says he doesn’t know where I got if from cause even He wasn’t as big of a fan when he was my age. I chose to be a fan. But really i’ve always been a fan. I just didn’t know it until I set down and watched my first game. To this day I am still learning new things about the sport and it reminds me that learning can be fun. You simply just have to understand what it is you are learning. And there’s so much to learn about football. To sum it all up, let’s just say that from the moment I watched my first game, it all moved fast from there and it all felt natural. I am and will always be a Bulldog. Not any Bulldog. A GEORGIA BULLDOG. I will be attending Samford University online. The Samford Bulldogs. It’s funny because I remember us (our football team playing them this past season). But it still doesn’t change. I am a Georgia Football Fan. I have been for years now and it wont change now. I hope you have enjoyed learning about how I became a fan. God Bless!
