Can you say Boo Missu
“Not just playing for one game”
You can say with each game, Georgia has also been playing for every game that follows. But that is more true now. Georgia wasn’t just wanting to win this game against Missouri. Georgia wasn’t just playing to win this game. Winning this game was how Georgia was already playing for the games ahead. Now teams are playing every game hoping it will get them to the playoffs. I think many we’re nervous about this game and thinking Georgia could lose. I didn’t get to watch this game live because our family’s coffee shop was having a soft opening and I was working. After I got off work, my dad lied and told me Georgia lost….And I believed him. I knew it was possible we could lose but I was kinda surprised. I was disappointed but really I got excited to wear my red and black tomorrow even after a loss. That may sound dumb but there's just that feeling after a loss where I get excited to really support my team. Thinking we lost only lasted a few minutes before I found out my dad had got me. We got home later that night and to my surprise my dad decided to start the game. He said we gained an hour of sleep and we’d only watch part of the game. Two hours later we had watched the whole game and it was already Sunday. It was a close game but it didn’t scare me because I knew the ending. And that is why I stand for my opinion that live games are very different and so much better than recorded games. It was indeed a close game. I typed a few notes but other than that, I don’t remember a ton. Once again, Georgia was without Bower’s and were calling on Dawgs to step up. And the Dawgs sure did! Delp did a great job with blocking and scored another touchdown this season against the tigers. He’s done really good and he’s his own player but you can see how he plays similar to Bower’s. But he’s making his own legend playing on that field and for this team. Our Quarterback Beck did a good job. He may have got a little shaken up and had some bad plays. I believe he threw an interception and had two or three sacks. That happens when you have a new starting QB and one that isn’t the fastest runner. Of course I have questions about our choice in QB. Sometimes I really wanna see what a mobile Quarterback could do for this team on the field. I see the teams that have mobile QBs and how good the QB runs work and I know what it did for us the past three years. But Beck is the guy on the field, so we’ll see how he can improve in his playmaking. I was in the car on the way to work listening to the radio when Beck had that 15 yard run. And the radio guy was saying “Beck 5..10..15 yards.” My dad joked and said “did he say Beck or Bennett?” It’s funny but true. We all remember those crazy runs Bennett had and for a second you almost forgot that he isn’t Georgia’s Quarterback anymore. I joke with my dad and talk about how Georgia must have parted the sea to help Beck run that far…and they did. I missed that play but my dad told me. It’s not that he can’t run. He can run pretty good but he cannot juke and move fast enough when the pocket is caving and he ends up just getting sacked. If he did his best then that’s all he can do. He’s getting snaps and learning. McConkey had another great game! Bower’s wasn’t there to catch a bad pass from Beck and we all know how talented McConkey is…even when everyone is looking to Bower’s. McConkey knew it was his turn and he jumped up and caught the football and it was awesome! He also had an amazing catch and twist to avoid a tackle and he just makes small plays and bad plays, just awesome plays! I am so glad he is getting to play on that field with his team. Another player had a great game….Woodring soared all four field goals through the posts. He’s done a great job and I joke with my dad and tell him that they are giving him plenty of practice with all those FGs. Come on, I mean four fields goals?! That’s crazy. I joke with my dad and said he scored most of our points and won the game. Our defense I believe had an interception on Missouri and a QB sack. Our offense and defense did a great job!
God Bless and Go Dawgs!
Play of the game
The play of the game was Ladd McConkey’s incredible jump and catch. He was right there when the team needed him the most. It was an awesome play
Defensive MVP
Defensive MVP goes to Malaki Starts (who I believe intercepted the football at the end of the game) It was awesome and just sealed the deal.
Offensive MVP
Offensive MVP goes to Peyton Woodring for nailing those four field goals and helping lead this team to a win. He’s doing a great job
