Georgia Not In The Playoffs?!

Last night was a crazy game. I didn’t get to watch the game. I was at magic kingdom but was keeping up with the score. When Georgia scored first and stopped Bama twice, I got so excited and had no worries about the game. But from there it was tight. I was asking family and friends to keep me updated. I was praying a lot because I knew how close the score was. My best friend texted and said it was 27-24 Bama, with two minutes left in the game. I started praying. I wanted Georgia to win this game. I knew if we got the ball back quick enough from Bama that we would have time to score a field goal or touchdown and win the game. I don’t fully know what happened because I wasn’t watching the game. But I got in thunder mountain for a roller coaster knowing that the game was nearly down to a minute left. My phone was going dead. I prayed and stuck my phone in my bag. I got off the ride and hadn’t heard anything…and then my best friend texted me….Bama had won 27-24. It was upsetting but it didn’t ruin my night. I’m more upset now because my dad has caught me up on some things. It’s the first time in history that the number 1 team has lost a game and dropped below the top four rankings (not making it to the playoffs). I didn’t know this. But it sounds like everyone is really upset because it cheated Georgia. This team has worked too hard to miss the playoffs because “Bama beat us”. It’s crazy. Why is Georgia getting cheated and kept from getting into the playoffs. Another thing is I heard that Bama’s last TD was reviewed and didn’t seem to be a fair touchdown. My dad had recently told me that Bama gets special treatment. I don’t know if I believed it. But then I watched an Alabama game and I couldn’t believe it. There were bad calls on the other team and Bama missed so many flags that should have been on them. I heard that during this SEC the referees were no good and they seemed to be in favor of bama. My dad talked about how Texas should have never skipped that many places in the rankings. So I’m not so upset we lost because I know my team did their best. What’s upsetting is knowing that Georgia should be in the playoffs and they're not. Two years ago Bama beat us in the SEC championship, then we played and beat Michigan in the orange bowl and then played Alabama in the National Championship and won. We lost the SEC and still went to play in the National Championship. So why isn’t it the same this year? Now we get to play in the Orange bowl against Florida ST. But we aren’t fighting to make it to the Natty. If it were up to me, I would certainly let the committee in charge of the playoffs and CFP to relook at these teams, their records and who they played all season. This last game has given me a lot to write about. I have a lot to say. How come Alabama lost to Texas in the regular season and makes it to the playoffs and we (Georgia) have an undefeated regular season, lost to Bama and then gets knocked out of the playoffs? We didn’t lose a game all season and we lose to bama and suddenly go from number one to number six in the rankings. When you think about it, it sounds so stupid. We are talking about Bama losing in the regular season and Georgia losing to bama in a championship and yet Bama gets to the playoffs. I can say one thing, I’ve never hated Alabama so much. But it’s not all their fault. Yeah they beat us. But that was not enough of a reason for Georgia not playing in the playoffs. This should be looked at and reversed. Ignore that Georgia is my team. Think about it. It doesn’t make sense. Alabama lost a game early enough that they forgot about it and we lost a tough championship that was seen by everyone right be the playoff rankings were determined. Who decides what teams go to the playoffs? Do they need glasses? Look at Georgia‘s rankings. This won’t be my last post on this topic. There’s a lot to be said. God Bless and Go Dawgs!
