Pray/Vote For Bower’s

I have gotten a little behind on my games right now and I am gonna work on the Georgia Kentucky post soon. But there are some more important things happening in the Dawg State right now. The Saturday before last our Star Tight End Brock Bower’s left the Vanderbilt game and headed into the tent to get a high ankle sprain looked at. Some didn’t think much of it. “I mean come on, it’s not like a little ankle sprain would keep Bower’s off the field”. And maybe that’s what everyone thought. But when my dad told me they were going to get an X-ray just to be sure it wasn’t broken, the first thing I thought was “if your even mentioning something could have broke, then it sounds like more than just a simple sprain”. My dad and I didn’t get to see the first half of the game, so when we watched some of it the other day and saw Bower’s go down on his knees and punch the turf, it was like he knew that this could keep him off the field. The news that followed on Monday proved that true and it had the Dawg family feeling down. Brock Bower’s had a high ankle sprain and had tight-rope surgery on Monday. It’s easy to be disappointed and unsure about the rest of the regular season and our chances for another Natty without him but we all know that isn’t what matters. We are disappointed for him because we all know how he loves the game, how upset he was when he missed his senior season in high school because of some thing called covid, how hard he works, how he wants to be there for his team and the chance we all know he had for the Heisman trophy. But if it was up to me, I’d say I have seen enough to name Bower’s a Heisman contender and leave it up to the voters. To some degree I understand how you won’t be able to see him play the rest of the season but on the other hand I think it is just stupid to not name him a Heisman finalist simply because of an injury he couldn’t control and the fact we've already seen what he can do in his two and a half seasons at Georgia. So yeah, I 100% encourage anyone with the power to vote in the Heisman, to vote for the #19 Tight-End. He’s worked so hard but not for the Heisman. He’s been working so hard, non stop for his team. And that is just another reason on why Bower’s should be the Heisman. But no matter what happens with the award….in the state of Georgia and all the Bulldog family, Bower’s already is the Heisman…and with no doubt. So our prayers are with him and we hope to see him supporting his team from the sidelines and soon…playing on that field himself this season. Let’s go Bower’s!

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray for Brock Bower’s. We pray for the high ankle sprain and that the surgery went perfectly. May there be a quick recovery and a healthy ankle. Be with Bower’s and the team as he recovers. I can’t imagine how disappointed and upset he must be right now. But I pray that if he doesn’t know you Lord, that he finds you in this and learns to trust in you. We are all right here praying for him and cheering him on. Help him focus on recovering and bouncing back. Help him fight to get better so that he can run out on that field with his brothers this season and play the game he loves. But until he can play…give him the strength to support, encourage, and cheer his team on. Even when he isn’t on the field, he can still make a difference in the game by encouraging those that are on the field. I pray his teammates would be there for him and encourage him. All of us Dawgs have his back. We pray for healing over Bower’s ankle and over every injury within the team in Jesus name. On the field or off the field, may Bower’s see his family, friends, coaches, teammates and all of us fans all around him supporting him and cheering him on. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
