Dawgs On Fire!
Georgia With A Win In A Game Of The Undefeated
Fans are wild all across Georgia! Not only was this a game between the undefeated, it was a game between the Eastern division and many thought Kentucky was gonna be Georgia’s upset. But they couldn’t have been more wrong. Instead this was the game that woke the Dawgs up from their “sleepwalking”. All of the Georgia family couldn’t be more prouder. People starting having doubts for the Dawgs and after our game against Auburn, we looked a little banged up. But we should know our team is more than their ups and downs. The game was unbelievable. I loved it! It was such a thrill to watch. And there is so much to talk about. I’ve gotten a little behind on games. This was as far as I got on this post until now. We played Kentucky three weeks ago and it stinks that I am just getting around to the post, after I have forgotten most of the game. So this may be a short post but all I know is I loved this game and it may be one of my favorite games at the end of football season. I remember how fast we started on our first offensive drive! It was crazy! I was cheering for my team and screaming for my dad, telling him he was missing it. It turns out my dad was in our basement movie room watching the game. It was awesome! I saw some hope for our starting Quarterback. That drive was so fast you didn’t want to blink, in fear you’d miss something. A cool thing, this was the big game I got to see in Athens for my 17th birthday two years ago. It was an awesome game then and it was again this season. When the dawgs play tough teams, they play tough. Our offense did great, our defense did great and our specialists did great! Woodring did an excellent job, soaring all three of his field goals through the goal posts (and I believe he had a new career long in one of those). As always Bower’s did a great job and didn’t let any small injury or bruise keep him off the field. It is great to see McConkey working his way back and getting some snaps. I bought his jersey when the season started and obviously had no idea he’d miss the first couple games but it was fun getting to wear the jersey and believe he’d get back on that field. It’s awesome that we have him playing before these upcoming big games but it’s just great that he’s getting to play the game he loves. I’ll be honest, Beck surprised me. I had my questions about him as our Quarterback. Coming into this game, we all knew we’d see if he was the QB for the job. He did a great job and I am proud of him. That’s the way we’ve been wanting to see him play but that is still only one game and we’ve got half of a season to go. We all know Stetson Bennett IV fought for the starting job day by day, game by game. Bennett had to wait a long time until somebody realized “Hey this guy can actually play football.” So although Beck seems comfortable and no one has yet to put him on the bench in a tough game, it’s still a day by day, game by game starting position. You can be the starter one week and be on the bench the next week after a terrible practice. So it helps you understand how hard they work and how hard Bennett worked to win the starting job, until the coaches had no doubt he was the one fit for the field. Beck is gonna have to work the same way and the backup QBs are gonna have to step up their game to push Beck to step up his. The Georgia Kentucky game was awesome and I’m disappointed I forgot so much of it. But I know how awesome the game was. So thankful for these dawgs and their hard work. Let’s just say the big Dawgs dominated the scrawny cats that Saturday night.
Play of the game
I honestly can’t remember any plays but I just remember the first touchdown of the game was awesome and maybe it was Beck and Bower’s. But that first TD of the game is the play of the game.
Defensive MVP
I don’t remember a lot so it’s hard to name one fairly so I will just give it to the whole defense.
Offensive MVP
um… I know Bower’s and McConkey always do amazing jobs. But I think this MVP should go to our Quarterback Carson Beck.
God Bless and Go Dawgs!
